How to get hired at Oklahoma City Fire Department
Oklahoma City hires entry-level Fire Recruits through the OKC Fire career site; candidates need a high school diploma/GED and a driver's license, and must earn an EMT license before finishing their one-year probation. Selection includes the CPAT, the FireTEAM written test, a panel interview, background/polygraph, a deputy chiefs' interview and a pension medical. The city says the process takes about 7-8 months from announcement to final offer.
